Abe

Abe Barghelame -
Abe is Cherry Mill’s symbolic guardian angel.

He makes things happen for us.  He makes us laugh.  He offers great hugs and huge smiles.  His heart is enormous.  His support is extraordinary.

Nadia

Nadia Barghelame -
Our work is dedicated to her spirit.

On December 17, 2004 Nadia Barghelame was killed at age twenty in a plane crash.  She was an aviation student pursuing a career as a professional pilot and she earned her multi-engine, instrument rated private and commercial pilot’s license in two short years. Nadia was a champion tennis player and earned a full scholarship at Metro.  The Barghelame family has gifted the Nadia Barghelame Female Aviator Endowed Scholarship Fund at Metro in order to support female students who are passionate about aviation.

Who We Are

Cherry Mill Healing Center serves as a facility for practitioners to provide services and hold classes and events that encourage individuals to take responsibility for their health and wellness.  Our role is to provide services that encourage the individual to nourish themself within and without.

Mary Barghelame -

Mary Barghelame is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  Cherry Mill Healing Center is a labor of love for Mary and her husband Abe Barghelame, who have offered their rambling Cherry Mill homestead as a facility to serve others.

Mary Barghelame delicately balances the traditional medical practices she has long practiced with the healing arts to nourish the whole body and mind.  Her work is grounded and inspired by personal experience that deeply connects her to others and allows an immediacy of trust and compassion.

Cherry Mill is the heart center of the extended Bargehelame Family and their son Ali and daughter Yasi.  Its transformation into a health and healing center is the family’s gift to others after the loss of their daughter, Nadia.  In memory and honor of their remarkable daughter, Mary and Abe have committed themselves to creating an environment conducive to mending, stretching, comforting and challenging the heart and soul.

Above all else, Mary’s life is about bridge making and embracing diverse traditions.  Through the intimate network of her extended family that stretches from Colorado to the Middle East, Mary celebrates the triumphant individual spirit that is universal to all people whose hands and hearts reach out in times of both tragedy and joy.
